Bought my first CZ yesterday at the SAR show in Phoenix. Since I am new to the CZ is there anything that should be done to the gun to make it operate better? Also, anybody know where I can get a reasonably priced tactical light for it. I really am impressed as to the quality of this gun for the price. I will be testing her out tomorrow at the range to see how she does. Thanks

+1 Especialy before you evaluate the trigger. I would get some snap caps and do some dry fiering as well. Other than that just shoot that thing. |
| I put 100 rds thru it yesterday. Trigger is a bit stiff, but over all she fired really good. I am not the best pistol shot in the world but I shot 2 each 5-6 inch groups at 25yds. I wanted to shoot at 12.5 yards but they changed the rules at my outdoor shooting range that I visit. Nice gun. |

The CZ 40P that I own is probably one of the most accurate of my .40s. I was quite surprised at it's accuracy, because my expectations were not high. The top end of the 40P is from the 40B, and I'm a lousy shot with mine. I now realize that my inaccuracy with the 40B is more an issue with the design of the frame and not the sights. You'll enjoy the 40P. -- Mike |
CZ triggers have a tendency to work in and smooth out with use. Another 1000 rds or so and you will be getting tighter groups than that. All 4 of my CZs smoothed out pretty well. DaddyDett |
