The only CZ-82's I've found (Gunbroker and otherwise) have been used, Czech police turn-ins.  I don't know how well those have been looked after.  I'd rather get a NIB.  Thanks.

Any CZ 82 will be mil-surplus as the 82 was only produced for the Czech government.  For nib, there is only the CZ 83 in 9mm MAK which hasn't been imported for quite a while now.  I got my CZ 82 from Southern Ohio Guns.

Last new CZ 83 in 9mm MAK that I saw was on Empire Arms website, but that's been almost two years now, IIRC.

Thanks for the good scoop.

Is the '83 9mm MAK or .380 (don't remember the difference)?

I got my CZ 82 from Southern Ohio Guns.  How do you like it?  What kind of condition was it in?  A good deal, or looking back, would you do it again?

The current CZ 83 is manufactured in .32, .380 and 9mm MAK.  I'm pretty sure CZ-USA is only importing the .380 version to the US. (Just looked at the CZ-USA website and they state that the "7.65 Browning and 9mm Makarov available by special order only".  Hadn't noticed that before, so maybe CZ-USA recognizes a need.  :)

Mechanically, it is in good condition.  The finish shows wear, but no real abuse.  The polygonal  rifling is an interesting concept.  Shoots well, though.  I'd do it again simply because I like most things CZs.
