I see they have 25% off on Scorpion mags. Just wondering if I should wait for a sale on 22 round mags for my P09?

Greg Cotes is where I got my 21rd mags. It is possible but I have yet to see them on sale anywhere. Which mag cost is the one thing I am unhappy about on my P-09.

Never really seen any sales on the p09/07 mags. One of the things that kept me away from otherwise great guns. The guns themselves might be cheap but you're seeing where you're having to make up the cost

Even with cost of mags, holster, mag carrier, and a Cajun job I came out cheaper than a HK P30 or Sig P226 with my full setup

Sure but you’re talking $800-1000 guns vs. a $450 gun. I was comparing more to other guns in the $450-550 range.

So something like the Sig 2022, Beretta Px4, FNX would be more comparable. All DA/SA like the P09 and all similarly priced.

No doubt your Cajun setup is better than an out of the box 226 or P30 though. Love the Cajun parts

All those pistols you just listed have similar pricing on their mags.

You want cheap mags, get a Glock. Or a standard CZ-75 Mec-Gar offers mags for at least.

I should’ve worded it differently but you said what i was trying to get across while keeping it polymer DA/SA to keep the comparison fair

But yeah, my original point was there aren’t cheap mags for the P07/09 series compared to other guns in its price range if we don’t care about manual of arms.

You can get 2022 mags for $30 or mecgar 17rd for $18 fwiw.

Mecgar makes the P07/09 mags as well so not sure why they don’t sell under their own brand. Probably an agreement with CZ

Price wise yes the FNX PX4 or 2022 but class the P-09/07 are on par with the P30 and P226. Hammer forged barrel, 19+1 capacity, and 1 bad ass pistol out of the box.

Wasn’t ever any doubt about that. I just don’t like the mag prices as I don’t treat my magazines nicely lol

I broke down and panic bought/ordered a couple P10c mags for my P-07 from Greg Cote's shop this afternoon.

Still pricey though.

Trust me I know what you mean. Currently only have 7 mags for my P-09 and accumulating more as I go. The reason I do not own a lot of HK pistols is because the mag cost is insane same with the FN line up. S&W M&P and Sig P22x mags both use a hi-power designed magazine and they are pretty affordable and but HK and FN cannot and the differences between the mags is pretty much no difference other than a few aesthetics and fitment difference.

There's no reason for the prices they charge other than they want to charge that much.

Factory Glocks are probably the toughest mags on the planet and cost all of 20-25 bucks.

CZ-75 is cheaper than a P09 when you factor in mag cost.

I sucked it up and ordered a bunch from Greg Cote. I love this pistol, so it was worth it.
