Is it worth having the pistol sent out for him to do the work, or is there not a noticable difference if you install the package yourself? Gun in question is a SP-01 Tactical. I have a Shadow 2 on pre order as well and didnt know if i wanted to wait for the turn around on the sp-01 if it wasnt that big of a difference.

If you know how to swap the parts then you are good to go.  I would rate the disassembly not as hard as hand fitting parts on a 1911 but not anywhere as easy as a Glock.  You will need a vise, armorers blocks, punches, slave pin, hammer, and access to the internet to do the job.

But are they drop in parts or do they need to be fine tuned, sanded, fitted etc. Im no gunsmith but i have all the tools to do it, and have put together some intricate AR's together. I just didnt know if they do extra shit to the gun like polishing internals and stuff

I installed everything in my P07 and polished everything in roughly an hour and a half taking my time. I used a cut up q-tip for a trigger slave pin btw lol. No special tools used here.

My best suggestion is go watch a few YouTube videos and see how in depth it is.  David at CGW is great email him and ask him your questions he replies pretty quickly and the customer service is tip top.  If you feel as though you cannot or do not want to do it send it in you will not be disappointed with the results.

I'm right in the middle of doing my own Pro package on a P-01.
So far, there has been excellent guidance online from his site and others.
The difference will be in the smoothing of the action.  It might be a subtle difference.
Obviously, he has extensive experience in the smoothing and polishing of the action.  But, I did a similar and acceptable job myself in about an hour at my kitchen table with the instructions he has provided.
I'm certainly not as experienced or skilled as he, or others here: I have done a couple AR builds and an Apex trigger job on my Shield.
In the end, it comes down to your experience, comfort level, and willingness to wait a couple months...

Are the same parts included with the DIY kit and the inhouse job? The inhouse you can choose which hammer you want. What if i were to order the kit, you think i can still choose?

Call or email David..... He will have better information than we will.  He might convince you to send him the pistol and let them work it over.
