Apparently CZ changed the 75b Omega and it is now "convertible" meaning you can have either the decocker or the safety.
My gun came with the swappable safety lever and a '16 date stamp, but it has the much more curved trigger of the older one. I'm wondering if I just got an early version of the new model but they had older left over triggers or the trigger was a later change. I haven't shot it enough to know if I like the curved trigger or not. So far seems fine, but the flatter is more similar to my other guns. Is the trigger itself (not the internal parts, just the physical trigger) something that can be swapped? Also, any tips on installing the safety? Seems really loose and swings pretty high up and all the way down to the grips. It works, but doesn't click into place and doesn't seem right. Probably missed something. You're missing the safety detent. Are you referring to the little cutout area where the pin on the back of the safety would sit? If so, the detent is there but for some reason the pin on the back doesn't seem to catch. I trued to push it further in but seemed like that was as far as it would go. I already switched back to the decocker (like it better anyway), but I'll look into that next time. EDIT: so this was bugging me and I looked again. Seems there is a small slot on the bottom of the safety pin that the ejector clicks into. I guess I didn't get it quite pushed in far enough. Once I did the safety worked as expected. |
