I recently shot a 75B in stainless and loved it.  But you all already know that about them.

Great gun and it's on my 'must have' list.

This will not be my carry gun; this will be one of my range guns.

Criteria:

All steel (no polymer)

No tac rail

Enhanced beavertail

Would PREFER a decocker, but I've heard the decocker messes with the trigger pull.  Is that true?

If so, I would much rather have the better trigger than the decocker.

Adjustable sights?

I've read over the guns on the CZ site, and it seems the 75BD is the model I want, but I'm not sure about the decocker model messing with the trigger, so that's my biggest concern.

Do I really need to send it off for trigger work, etc?  I already found it to be a fantastic shooting gun.

Any input would be much appreciated.

I just bought my first CZ.  Got the BD Police model.  I bought $180 worth of pRts from Cajun Gun Works and installed them myself.  The gun now has a trigger pull that is better than my SIG Mk-25, Beretta M-9 with the D spring, or any other handgun I have.  It is perfect.

Watched a few YouTube videos and put the parts in, in about an hour.  Not hard at all.  If you do it make sure to buy the slave pin for the trigger pack.  I made one, but it is worth it to not have to dissamble the trigger pack.

I can't speak to adjustable, I bought the Meprolights and they shoot to point of aim.  BTW, love the gun.  Great trigger, great shooter.

May I ask what's the difference in the police model?

I own a 75 SA, an SP-01 and a P-01.  Both the SP-01 and the P-01 have decockers.  I was like you, a bit leery of them as I had heard it can make for a worse trigger pull.  But after putting about 500 rounds through the SP-01, I'm glad I went that route.  The trigger had some creep when I first got it, but after 200 rounds or so it really smoothed out.  It's still a fairly heavy/long pull, but all of the creep is gone.  I love that thing.  I haven't shot my P-01 yet and it has the same creep in the trigger, but I'm sure it will smooth out with use.

I thought I would like the 75SA more than I actually do.  The single action pull just feels a bit odd to me and I don't shoot it anywhere near as well as I do the SP-01.  Still trying to figure that one out.

I don't know what to recommend to you, as I love the SP-01 and would suggest you go with that one.  With the heavy steel frame, it is a really sweet shooter.  I hate to say it, but I'm probably going to be putting the 1911's away for good after I get a few more rounds through it.

Get a CZ 85 Combat.  Great trigger with overtravel adjustment and no firing pin block and an adjustable rear sight.

Can you get an SP-01 in high polished stainless?  I'm looking all over, but struggling to find them.

Triggers on the decocker models aren't noticeably different to me.  I have both.  My next one will most likely be a P01 with a decocker.

Whatever you end up with I suggest a spring kit from CGW.

Spring kit will lighten the trigger pull on both DA/SA, correct?

Yeah.  It'll be more noticeable on the DA pull but it'll lighten the SA too.

Nothing that I'm aware of, other than the name on the side.  Just the BD decocker model.  I have looked at the models with the safety, but the levers felt a little too far

forward to hit easy.  I liked the decocker better.  The parts from Cajun not only fixed the trigger, but made the decocker operate more smoothly.

No, the 75B is the only stainless CZ pistol that I'm aware of.

There are 3 different 75B stainless models, brushed, matte and high polish.

I know you said no rail...but I'd get the SP-01 anyway. It's just such a sweet damn shooting gun. I'm in love with mine.

I agree, the Tactical is the decocker version. This is the gun I think about when I someone says they want a CZ for the range or competition and don't want a safety.

I, like OP, have been convinced by the many positive posts to try the CZ SP-01 and can't get my hands on one to try before buying.

Not to hijack (sorry in advance OP if this offends), for those considering SP-01, is it worth the extra money to go with the ACCU-Shadow?

I am very much a buy once cry once.

If this shoots anything close to my Sig X-Five, I know I will be happy.

Thanks for any replies and thanks OP for the post which I have been wondering the same for a few days now.

I think that's up to you to decide.
For what you're getting, I think it's definitely worth it, but whether or not you will be using the gun to that extent to get all that performance out of it is up to you. Unless you're a serious competition shooter, I can't see it necessary to have a custom fitted barrel, etc - but hey, it's you're money and you can do as you want. :D To me, a normal Shadow or a plain SP-01 then sending it to CZC or CGW for full trigger work up is more than enough.

My SP-01 with the CGW hammer, tuned and polished trigger, springs, short reset system, etc is a far more accurate gun than I am capable to shoot it. I think that's probably the case with a huge majority of shooters with almost all pistols. For my shooting skill level, I feel the accu-shadow is a point of diminishing returns as far as accuracy goes.
