Give me your thoughts on this pistol.
Likes, hates, issues etc... I am big on SIGs but wanted to look at some other pistols out there and have had a lot of them including a CZ75. One I am looking at is the Duty with the extended barrel and night sights. Bring it on... |

I am a former Sig owner. I just never warmed up to the Sig however. It functioned flawlessly and looked very nice. Well made, and darn expensive but I sold it after owning CZ's. My forth CZ pistol (I have CZ rifles also) is the P-07. I like it, we get along. Besides the Sig I sold I also have a Beretta PX-4 (like it) and a Glock 17 (which I intend to sell) then my 75B with Omega trigger and night sights, a P-01 and some other misc. stuff. So, I have a few other pistols to compare the P-07 to.
The P-07 fits my hand. It points well and is natural for me to shoot. The trigger (for a stock gun) works quite well. It just works right and for me that is what I expect from a pistol. I find that some handguns that others love, like the Glock, just don't do it for me. My Sig performed just fine but it just didn't sit well in my hand nor did it point right for me. YMMV So, P-07 functions 100%, shoots where I point it, doesn't break, and fits my hand. That is all I can say for any pistol. OH, and it costs less than a Sig or an HK or many other of the big name brands. |

UPDATE: Went ahead and picked up the P07 Duty.
First impression: Very light. Aggressive grip. Good night sights. Felt a bit on the cheap side compared to a Glock, SIG, and Smith. Only 3 polymer guns I have at the house to compare to. Very light trigger on single action. 
Expensive spare mags  Knew this going in so if I like hope I can find used mags for a good price.
Will try to make time later in the week to go shoot. |

Check out the CZ USA and CZ Custom web sites. They sometimes put magazines on sale - 3 mags. for $108, or so. Still more expensive than most others, but for me, the gun is worth it.
I bought a P07 (older model) early this year. It works every time. It shoots groups, small ones. Better than my Glock, my 5.25 XDM or my M&Ps. Impressed me enough to result in buying myself a P09 a couple months ago. Now, I just need one more. Just need to decide which one. |

Update number 2:
Went out and shot my new Duty P07. I am very pleased to say the least. Granted only got to shoot about 20 rnds through it it was enough to know I will like this pistol greatly. Points well, shoots great and handles nicely. Now I want a second. May get the same one or step up and pick a updated 2014 version. But all in all very pleased. |
