I have original (gen 1) model CZ 75 and CZ 85 bought in Germany and brought back to the US (yes legaly).
I would like to get a spare parts kit and such for it. Is the SP01 version or the B version parts interchangable? (mine has not letter after the number) Thanks, Dave |

That's a question best ask at the CZ Forum. It also depends on what part you are replacing. I have a CZ 75 Classic and my husband has a CZ 75B My classic has a stainless barrel, steel guide rod, low profile military style sites, Different style hammer and no firing pin block off. The CZ 75 Classic will accept CZ75B Magazines either, however it will accept SP-01 Magazines. Go figure. I'm no expert, but those are the differences I know off the top of my head.
I never tried to swap parts. I'm far too protective of my CZ75 Classic to let my husband try. |

im not sure about the other parts, but the 85 slide stop will be different. i have an 85 (more current version) and they did a design chance due to the ambi slide stop breakage.
you can conact CZ and ask them directly. they also sell parts online or you can order from one of the CZ vendors. |

Thought this was the CZ forum for AR15? Is there another CZ site? Thanks for the info. Yeah, I was going to give CZ USA a call and ask their tech support folks. Was able to get a couple of old style sights from them. My classic CZ75 lost it's front sight at the range.
Thanks again, Dave |

Oops... sorry here is the site www.czforum.com
You might want to call CZ Customs www.czcustom.com I wanted to upgrade my sites on my CZ Classic awhile ago. I decided just to paint it instead. I didn't want to cut into my slide for the new sites. I hope this helps |

Yeah thanks. I am basically looking for a Parts Kit in case something breaks and needs repair. typically has springs, pins, and other parts in them. Stuff that might break on you. Dave Dave - what you have is called a "pre-B" model CZ-75 and possibly a "pre-B" CZ-85. Both should have rounded trigger guards. Common 75B and 85B (but NOT 85 Combat) parts should fit. The parts that I keep on hand are: -extractor springs. These are a common cause of ejection/feeding problems. Buy Wolff brand -recoild springs (Wolff) -hammer springs (Wolff) -slide stops - ESPECIALLY on older 75s like the ones you bought in Germany. These have to be bought through either CZ or Angus. |

Cool, thanks. Will give those sources a try. Still need chat with CZ USA if I can and see what they say as well. Thanks for the tips. Dave |

There are several variations of pre-Bs and transitionals. The mags they accept vary. Without knowing the year of production, further guidance is just a shot in the dark.
If what you have is a short-rail - the earliest of the 75s - I urge you to take the utmost care of it. They are exceedingly rare in the states (and are rather rare overall, since total product was approximately 15000 units worldwide). I would go so far as to say that you shouldn't worry about spare parts, because it should never be shot that much. The later "common" pre-Bs are another story. |

Well I bought my CZ 85 and 75 about 1986 as well. They are all original except the front site on the 85. Got a replacement for the lost one from CZ USA.
Was hoping to have extra parts in case something does go wrong as I like to shoot often but if it is worth that much maybe I will hold back. Both are in excellent condition otherwise. Not sure what they are worth but are fun to shoot. Dave |
