Has anyone head for European Arms? Are the guns any good? One is called the Witness and I like the price/looks. Any suggestions? Might be a good CCW.
They are pretty large for Concealed carry. At least the fullsized version. For the most part I hear of them when people are talking about the 10mm version. They are supposeldy built like tanks, and reasonable accurate, all for a reasonable price. I think Ed's guns in Vass might stock a few EAA guns, depending on what part of the state you're in.
Vass is about an hour south of Chapel Hill. I'm stuck in "the 'boro" myself for two more years. I do most of my gun business with Rudder's in Butner, but Ed's is a good shop if you're in the area. Good prices, but by the time I spend the money on gas to get there, I can support the local guy. Head on over to the hometown forum and say hello.
EAAs are good pistols and the one I had was 100% relable. I had a .45 compact polymer and it was a great carry gun. The only reason most people would shrug their nose is they spent $700-900 on a gun that looks and feels sometimes a little nicer but is not realy more accurate or reliable so it chaps their hide. I would not hesitate to get another one if I was in the market ans one was available that I could actualy inspect before plunking down the cash. I almost picked up another compact .45 with the wonder finish at tax time but ended up with a CZ97B.
