Picked up a Star PD at the pawn shop for $225.
It looks in good shape, blued version. The finish has wear on the high spots, but not holster wear. I didn't see any frame cracks, no damage or battering, just normal use. I forgot to check the buffer, but I'm probably going to put a fresh one in anyway, along with new springs. I need to find a couple mags, which seems the big problem. If anyone has a source, let me know. I didn't like the Pachmayer grips that are on it. Too fat for me. I know Numrich has new replacement wood ones. I'll check the auction sites for some used plastic ones. |

Yeah, Promags seem to be the ticket overall. People seem to be satisfied, but Promag has discontinued them. What they have left is it, so I'm going to pick a couple up now. I don't need a bunch, since it's not a gun I'm going to be running a million rounds through. GPC has wood grip panels, but I think I'm going to try to find some used black plastic ones. |

I usually hit CDNN first for mags, but they don't carry any PD mags. Midway still has some in stock, and so does GPC. Promag themselves have some as well, but they're a couple bucks more. |
