What a great handgun.  Slim, light, 8 rounds, low recoil, affordable, rugged, and reliable.

Just put 22 mags down range - not a single hiccup.  I intend to get it up to a couple hundred today - just to get that break in out of the way.  I bought it lightly used - but still.  I want to be 110% sure.

So far, I love it.  Have a Comp-Tac Minataur IWB M-Tac holster and belt on order.  I can think of no better CCW.  I wanted something to fill the gap between my P32 and XD45C.

Great handgun.  Anyone else own one?

I bought my first Kahr (a used K9 ) in July 2007. I really enjoyed shooting it and when I won an auction for a used CW9 (my first plastic gun) a year ago, I relegated the K9 to the safe. Two months after getting the CW9, I bought a used PM9 and it became my carry gun.

Of course, it is unpossible for someone to buy three used Kahrs and have them all run perfectly.

My newest Kahr I had to buy new- the P380. MUCH better than the LCP or KelTecs I've shot, and a lot lighter than my old NAA Guardian.

What was your thoughts on the CW9 vs the PM9.

I've owned the PM9 and got rid of it.  I prefer the CW9 now, and I'm curious as to what drove you to think the opposite.

Last September, I went to the Dallas Market Hall gun show (typically the biggest show in Dallas) "just to look" I had been there all of five minutes when I hear a dealer ask "what ya got there?" to a guy standing near me. I thought I heard him say "...Kahr...", the dealer shook his head, so I asked the guy what he had. It was a mint condition PM9 (w/factory night sights) in the box. I asked how much you asking? The seller said $475, plus it has three extra magazines, holster, and this box of ammo (Win SXT). I countered with "$450???"  and the gun was mine.

So........I got a pretty good bargain and the night sights are a big plus. The reasons I choose the PM9 over the CW9 for EDC is concealability, quality of trigger pull, and better sights. I can carry with the flush fit six round magazine and carry extra seven or eight round spares. I actually shoot the PM9 a little better than the CW9 or my K9- the trigger on my PM9 is absolutely perfect.

DogtownTom, I thought the CW9 has the same trigger as the P9, Pm9, etc.

you definitely got a great deal on your PM9.

I thought the triggers were the same too.  In any case, wow, $450 is a helluva deal for that package.  Nice score.

I may be the same type (non NYPD), but there is a distinct difference between my CW9 & PM9.

Main difference is barrel rifling and OAL. PM9 has the polygonal barrel.

THEY ARE IDENTICAL, not one bit of difference between the PM9 and Cw triggers.  The NY trigger is only in the K9 version, no other kahr. You might just have a very smooth one out ofth box where as some take a few hundred rounds down range to smooth up but trust me, they are identical in every detail.. that cw is one hell of a nice gun IMO,  U got a very good deal also..

My bet what you are experienceing is that the cw has a little bit bigger grip to hold on to, there fore maybe giving u the sensation of it feeling better.  Just my 2 cent son this to...

Ummmm.........I know their trigger types are identical, that's what I posted.

Let's see if I can rephrase and state this one more time........MY PM9 has better quality of trigger pull than MY CW9. YMMV. And the CW9 is MILES better than the trigger on my K9.

It doesn't matter what kind, whether it's identical or how I hold it. It's better with the six round mag in, it's better with the eight round mag in.

And yes, this has to be one of my all time best gun bargains. When I consider how much actual use it gets compared to the ones in my safe it would have been a bargain at twice the price.

Can't wait to carry this thing around.  0.90" width and 15.8 ounces, likely 16.8 with a loaded magazine ..... what's not to love?  My XD45 compact is 32.5 loaded.

You said it all right there!

Mine rocks!

It's the perfect IWB gun, and I'm just using a modified Uncle Mike's holster.
So comfortable, it's hard to believe.

Absolutely my next purchase. I envy you.

The original plan for CC was to use the XD45 compact or the XD9 Sub-compact but they are only comfortable when standing. I then figured I would add a G26 to the family but decided not to: still too wide.

The quality of and the width of the Kahr just makes the most sense. I lurk, looking for a deal on a LNIB 9mm, preferably a PM9. I cannot wait.

What is the difference between the CW9 and the P9?

I just got a PM9.  225 rounds of FMJ through it yesterday plus a box of 124 grain golden sabers.  Not a single malfunction.

Holy cow is this gun nice to carry.  I love my glocks but this thing sure is comfortable for light carry days.  I like it so much in fact, I am beginning to wonder how much more comfortable a P9 might be IWB then my usual Glock 19 or Glock 26.
