Does Kahr or any aftermarket company make a P9 magazine with a flush baseplate? All I see on the Kahr website are the standard 7 round baseplates, and the extended baseplates. Will a PM9 magazine be too short to lock in? I have never held the guns side by side.
Thanks for any help. |

Theres no flush fitting mag for the p9 that i have seen.
You can try putting PM9 magazine base plates on your P9 magazines. Or just buy a magazine for the K9 with the steel base plate already on it. This would improve the situation, but not very much. I may give this a try eventually. You could also cut the P9 grip down to covert (PM9) size. This would void your warranty, but would give the most flush fitting solution. I have considered both of these options for my P9, and decided to leave it be. I have an IWB tuckable holster from K&D Holsters. My P9 conceals just as well with the mag inserted as it does with it removed. If i ever need it to be more concealable, I will just get a PM9. If you do go with the K9 mag/ Pm9 baseplates, I would really like to see some pictures of that configuration. |

Thanks for the advice.
I can conceal the P9 well, but for some reason, the mag baseplate tends to hang on my shirt and print too much. With no magazine, the P9 disappears. I may experiment with some magazine combos. I'd like to do the covert mod, but I'm not too keen on cutting my own gun up. |

Just take the edge off. Xacto knife blade and some very mild sanding films. Just see what you can do. Might save you from having to order parts. I had a P9 years ago when they first came out it had Trijicon Novak night sights. The baseplate to me made it more comfortable to hold and shoot. Also helped getting the mag out of the gun and holding onto the mag. I still want to get another one soon. |
