Anyone know how often ya change the spring on a PM9?

I change mine every 1000 round or so. I'd change it sooner if you shoot +p loads.

Ok, thanks. any place to order them besides calling Kahr?

Does Kahr have a website that you can order straight from without calling?

go to wolffs gunspring (gunsprings.com) and order the PM9 20.5 recoil springs they are alittle stronger than factory and work absolutely super.  You have to unscrew that end cap on your recoil spring to get the inner spring off but just heat it with a blow dryer and it will unscrew and then reset it with blue locktite and it will stay .  Or you can just replace the outer recoil springs and forget about the inner one changing.  I have had the 20.5 set on my PM9 for over 5000 rounds and the brass still lands very close...

Ok. I was kinda wondering how to replace that inner spring w/o ordering the entire assembly.

and they are probably right to.  If in doubt at least change the outer spring more often and you may never haveto  mess with the inner spring replacement.

I'd definitely change the outer spring more often than every 5K rounds.

You'll notice that after a while the spring will just feel weaker and you may even be able to get the slide to stay out of battery if you ride it home. At that point you're likely causing damage to the frame after every shot, especially with +P loads.
