I think I've decided on a picking up a PM40 as a Christmas present to myself. Any owners care to chime in on whether this is a good choice or not? My current CCW is a G-23 so I was looking at the .40 to share common calibers. I also have quite a bit more .40 put away than 9mm.
Those are the 2 main reasons Ive decided on the pm40 instead of the pm9. Ive also been told to check into a CW40 instead, Is there much of a size difference between the 2? Thanks for any opinions. |
| Don't know much about the PM40, but I recently picked up a K40 to complement my G23, and the thing is a great little gun. fits nicely in a pocket, thin, relatively light for a stainless pistol, and shoots great. Just picked up some extra mags for it as well. I did polish the shit out of the feed ramp(I do this on all me pistols) to a mirror finish. And I have been shooting reloads through it to boot. I say get it if you like it. I preferred the K40 over the P40 the shop had, but I have not handled either of the smaller ones. |
| I used to own a PM9 that I traded for a CZ75 SP-01 and $200 (couldn't pass that deal up). Then later I bought a PM40 second hand. I liked the PM9 but never really carried it. I don't remember the PM9 having much flip but the PM40 definitely does. Follow up shots are a little difficult for me with the PM40 but it is reliable and seems accurate. |

That being said, I know alot who love their polymer 40 cal kahrs.. I still think I would go witht he PM40 over the cw40, due to size, weight and ability to change sites etc on the PM series... |
