| I have a amt 45 backup and it weighs in at like 24 ounces and shall we say it is interesting to fire with ball. I also have a glock 30 and while very accurate more than about 100 rounds and you feel it. I imagine the p45 will be in the same line. Designed to be carried a lot and shot little. I probably will have to get one. I have been looking for another 45 pocket pistol. |
Well, according to their website, Empty without magazine 20.11 oz. So I guess it would be similar. I rented a 36 once -- it wasn't too bad, although the base of the magazine kept pinching my pinkie finger. |

Rats. I carry Kahr 9s normally, tho' I picked up a Glock 36 a few months ago. Shoulda waited. And for you guys fretting about recoil--my 14 year old daughter has no problem whatsoever with the 36, and she's a bit of a shrimp. Tho, not a shrimp to be picked upon.... |
| I like it. It's a good idea. I spoke to someone at Kahr about 6 months ago, and she told me about this. I told her the only thing I would suggest would be that they make it in Stainless as well. I've noticed that they had some issues with the polymer guns. The only other compaint that I have about the Kahr line is the trigger. I had a K40, and I put the "Elite" short trigger in, and it helped. I eventually ended up tradeing it in a SA 1911 Champion. It was a hard thing to do. I really liked that K40. Only if the trigger would have had a crisper break. I guess that's what makes a Kahr a Kahr. They stand by that double action (revolver like) trigger. The one I had shot great. It was very accurate for such a small gun. |
| The polymer frams that Karh makes are dangerous. My co worker could only fire his once and the magazine fell out of the magazine well. The problem is that the polymer parts in the frame are not compatable with the steel magazines which resulted in the plastic pieces holding the magazine in the gun wearing down. I love the steel frames though, no problems. |
+1, but I think they still need a better trigger. IMHO |
