I am assisting a recovering Fudd in a defensive handgun purchase. I am convinced an XD or XDm is the thing to recommend, but with all their new models, and I have never owned one, I am not fully knowledgeable. Please help with recommendations.
Purpose: IDPA competion / Concealed Carry - Self-Defense use Caliber: 9mm (cost/ease of skill) I feel that a XDm 3.8 would be the first choice followed by the XD subcompact (which may be @ a disadvantage in IDPA competition) I welcome constructive opinons. |
