Anyone out there put a MMC low mount tactical carry sight for a Sig on their XD?  Any problems?  Did you do it yourself or have a gunsmith install it?

When I first bought my XD, it had adjustable MMC sights on it.  I don't know if they were these low mount types you mentioned, but I didn't much care for them.  The protective 'wings' were distracting.  As I was used to lining up the front sight with the highest point on the rear sight, the 'wings' slowed down my sight aquisition considerably.  When the front sight came off unexpectedly, I requested the Springfield replace the MMCs with factory sights, which they did at no cost to me other that shipping and handling.

Thanks for the reply, I may not want to put the MMC on my XD after all.  I shoot right handed but I'm left-eye dominant and I tend to group everything a little low and left.  That was why I was thinking about the adjustable sight.

I saw your post down at the bottom of the thread, noticed that there were no responses, and figured that it just wasn't right.

Anywho, I was not a fan of the MMC sights.  Does Trijicon make adjustable night sights?  They've got a good reputation.

I checked on the Trijicons but they don't make an adjustable version.  I've got a couple of LEO friends that use their fixed sights and they love them!

I just saw some ads and write-ups for those sights.  Very impressive concept, I must say.
