| I recently purchased a Springfield Armory Loaded in .45. Today I was plinking away and noticed the front site seemed significantly taller all of a sudden. The front pin on the trijicon site had begun walking straight up. I cleared the weapon and packed up. The approximate round count is ~300. I am curious how I should go about fixing this. Simply press it back in and hope it stays, head to a local gun smith or send it back to Springfield. I have no experience working on 1911's besides stripping them. |

Had the same thing happen to a coworker's. We were at a range shooting and the front site pin was walking out. Couldn't tell you the round count on his gun but it is well north of 1,000 rounds. We put some blue loc-tite in there and it seemed to hold fine after it dried. |
| i had an mc operator, and during a 700+rd training session teh rear sight came completely lose and drifted almost all the way off the back of the gun, i noticed something was wrong and i though it was me until i looked at the gun. sorry to hear that you had that issue. |
