A buddy wants to sell his older Springer stainless loaded 1911.
I am interested in buying it but he's asking 600.00. It doesn't have the crossed cannon grips. Also, the sights are just plain black Novacks, not 3 dot nor nites. It also has some minor scratches. I am thinking that the price is a little high. Any guesses on a fair value. |

How old is old? I bought a "Black Stainless Combat" with the 3 dot sights (not night sights). It has the black rubber double diamond grips and had two 7 round mags and the case. It had less than 500 rounds through it. (my buddy bought it new and I shot it more than he did) It has some minor scratches in the bright stainless that can be buffed out. I paid $450 for it. I am guessing he originally bought it about 5 years ago.
Here it is with the Hogue grip on it. I also got the grip and a holster and two Mec-Gar 8 round mags in the deal too.
