I orderd a SA 1911 loaded today and wonder how good the factory mags are? I have an XD.45 and the mags for it work fine, just need to know how good/bad the SA 1911 mags are. Thanks

Tubes are fine, followers are the split metal ones (which I don't like).

I used the loaded coupon to get 10 @ $9/per and then ordered the Tripp Super7 mag upgrades.  End up with great mags for about $18.

They are Metalform flat follower mags.  About the only brand I've tried so far that I haven't had issues with.

I have a SA Loaded also and the factory mags work fine. Nothing fancy, they just work. Really good deal with the coupon.

I did get some Wilson 47Ds that I really like though.

Should be an orange coupon in the paperwork that lists smokin' deals on a lot of SAI accessories.  Did you buy new?

I used the coupon, too, and so did my brother in law.  Neither of us have had any problems with these mags.  I can't leave well enough alone, so I put fancy chrome silicon springs in mine, but still have the stock followers.

He said that he just ordered the gun so it probably isn't in his possession yet. This would explain why he doesn't know about the coupon.

I got the max of them on my loaded coupon (10).  And am very happy with all of them.  I have yet to have any malfunctions with my Mil-spec.  Have about 1200 rounds down range with it.  Reloads and WWB.

Good mags at a great price.  IMO

Yes the pistol is brand new and should be here Monday the 14th. I hope the coupon is in the box. I almost bought a GI version but went with the loaded because it already has the upgrades I would have made to the GI anyways. I want it for my main carry pistol and will run several hundred rounds through it before I trust it. Wanting it for carry is why I asked about the mags. Have any of you had any problems with your SA loaded 1911's?  My XD45 has been 100%, no issues what so ever after almost 2000 rounds down the pipe.

The main reason I got the Tripp upgrades was to combat feedramp gouge on my Al-framed Kimber.

If you get the Metalform mags then you have nothing to worry about. These are mags issued to the FBI HRT team for use with their Custom shop PC9111 guns. Good enough for them then good enough for us.

Picked up my pistol today and it has the coupon. I will be getting some of the mags. Fit and finish on this thing are very nice. Can't get out to shoot it until next week sometime.

I've just got a new loaded coupon in front of me too. I'm still thinking about what I want to get with it.

SA factory mags have worked with no issues in my TRP, Mil-Spec and G.I.  Only mag issue I've had with any of them is Wilson 47D's not working well with the TRP (I know, tired subject).  I used Tripp Super 7 kits to solve that problem.  I have ordered several spare mags from SA for all three guns and they run just fine.  Sure do like those Cobra 8 rounders though.  Have a couple of those for the TRP.

I wish I would have gotten the range bag for $20. I just ordered one from Midway for $40

I maxed out my mags from the coupon.  Have had zero issues from any of them.

Went out the other day and ran a couple hundred rounds through this new loaded. It and the factory mags ran fine with 230gr ball, 200 and 230gr JHP ammo. Very accurate, even with the cheap range 185gr cast bullets I tried. The cast bullets were not very good looking or uniform in shape and the new loaded ate them up.  Very happy I picked up this pistol. I need a few hundred more rounds through it before I trust it.
