I wonder if Springfield will ever build an XD45 SC? I sure would like to have one, but for now will have to carry my XD9 SC and Taurus PT145.

Probably not. The G30 is considered sub compact, and yet it is the size of the G19. It's hard to make sub compacts in .45.

Look at the Para P10 Warthog. Small compact, light, yet KICKS like a mule. Traded it for a snub nose .38.

The grip is as short as it's gonna get, and for most carry options barrel length in no way impacts concealment. This is one of the reasons a 5" Compact is available.
