ok so i asked this on the 1911 discussion but maybe you guys can help me out more
Im new to 1911's and i've narrowed down what company I'm gonna go with in a the near Future .. So i'm on the Springfield website and was just wondering whats the .. I guess the "peaking order" for the pistols on the site. It doesn't say price or anything and that's whatd id usually judge by, but whats the order of these pistols from most expensive to least expensive?.. GI.45 , Loaded, Operator , EMP , MIL-SPEC , Trophy Match , TRP , and the CUSTOM. |

It doesn't say price or anything and that's whatd id usually judge by, but whats the order of these pistols from most expensive to least expensive?.. GI.45 , Loaded, Operator , EMP , MIL-SPEC , Trophy Match , TRP , and the CUSTOM. Somewhat a hard question to answer, because some of them overlap in price. For the most part it would be (and someone correct me if I'm wrong) Lowest to highest 1. GI 2. Mil-Spec 3. Loaded 4. EMP 5. Operator 6. TRP 7. Trophy match 8. Custom The difficult part is... For example you can get a Champion LW Operator in the $900 range, but the EMP is ~ $1,000 (new prices of course), however (and this is the hard part to categorize by price), a new LW Operator or MC Operator are in the $1,100-$1,200 range. So technically, you can get an "Operator" for Less than the EMP or more than the EMP, based on what model and specs you are looking for. So based on price, should the EMP be before or after the Operator on a list?!?!?! Personally, I would figure out what you want on a pistol, list those things then decide what model matches what you want. For some they want to buy a GI or Mil-spec then buy after market parts and build it up themselves. For others, they want all those 'upgrades' out of the box so they choose a Loaded, Operator, or TRP. |
