Does anyone have an idea about how I could replace the dual spring w/full length guide rod on my lightweight champion operator.  With the current dual spring w/full length guide rod the take down of the gun requires a small clip that is a pain.  I want to have the ability to breakdown the gun with just my fingers no extra clip etc.  Ideas gentlemen?

It's my understanding you cant do it on the LW Champion Operator. I don't believe the slide is cutout for a bushing, not to mention you'd have to replace the bull barrel with a standard width barrel.

I have a LW Champion operator and I understand the pain in neck that little clip is. In my opinion, it's not worth the money to make convert it, as you would have to spend big money to have the slide machined, get a new barrel and bushing and have them both fitted to the pistol. Just not worth it...

Some of the bull barrel guns do have the slide already machined for the bushing.  Both my TRP Operator and Longslide have bushing cuts, even though they came with bull barrels.  It can still be a couple hundred to buy a new barrel/bushing and have them properly fit.

I know that the champions are different.  I wouldn't know who sells a barrel for the 4" slide guns.
