well i was wanting to buy one of these a few months ago and decided to get the S&W M&P instead. a friend of mine bought on as a carry gun and we shot ot today at the range. great gun but the first two trigger pulls i noticed that the side of my trigger finger was being pinched. i continued and said nothing. 100 rounds later i saw my buddy rubbing his finger. i looked at it and it was purple. both our fingers are blistered. anyone else have this problem? i couldnt get it to pinch my finger by dry firing it. only with the recoil.

thanks for the reply guys. ill give this info to my friend and see what springfield has to sau about it. seems the trigger might be lower to the trigger guard than normal which is causing the pinching.

i have a xd40 service and subcompact, after shooting the sc a bit my trigger finger gets sore, i think its from the trigger safety, and the fact that my load's are a bit toward the upper end.. it's got some bark.. and sometimes some bite

Just shot my XDsc40 today for the first time and I was getting "pinched" also. Trigger finger was getting caught between the trigger and the trigger guard. This happened about 4-5 times and was worse if the grip was not held tightly during recoil. When I realized I was not holding on tight enough this went away. I have never had this happen during dry firing also.

On a side note, this is the most accurate pistol I have ever shot, I wish I saved the target to show but every round went exactly where I wanted it to go!!!

I've owned a XD40SC (traded for a S&W 629) and never had this issue before.  Maybe you and he is not gripping the pistol properly.

where is xd pinching your finger at ? up towards the reciever or down between the trigger and trigger guard ? Have experienced this on the xd45 compact with factory loads while using weak hand, and  on xd357....that round does more than bark, it bites so I have a tendacy to anticipate recoil ..  Try choking up on reciever using thigh thumbs. Have Fun..
