[ARCHIVED THREAD] - XD45 +P?

Is the XD 45 able to shoot +P loads? I really like the way they feel and am thinking about buying one. I know that the Glocks are capable so I figure these are too. Just thought I would ask.

No problem with +P! Now the question would be are they good with +P+? That, I do not know!

i shot three boxes out of mine w/o any problems. i recall reading something about glocks not being able to do +P+ something about a non-supported chamber.

In fact I could not really tell much, if any, difference in recoil between the 230+P TAP
and the Winchester 230 FMJ.

I bought the TAP as a test to see if it would run in the XD. I could never shoot the 230 JHP's in my Colt 1911. Since they ran so well in the XD I kept enough for a carry load.

I really like my XD45 Tactical.

XD 45 will handle +P+ just fine.

I for one never understood the NEED for +p ammo in 45acp .

its already almost a half inch hole BEFORE expansion . Isn't that enough ??

All the XD series are +P rated.
