I purchased my first Springfield Armory XD .45 acp about a month ago.
It's the 4" Service pistol. That pistol is just AMAZING!!! It's SUPER accurate straight out of the box. I have put about 200 rounds down the barrel and can tear the 10 & X ring up 25 yds with ease! So my first experience with the XD got me hooked. Since I truely enjoyed my .45 I started looking at getting me another XD. I decided I wanted another 4" Service pistol. But I figured since I already have the XD and another pistol in .45 acp I would try another flavor. Over the weekend I purchased my second XD in .40 S&W. I haven't gotten her to the range yet to fire but I am itching to put some lead thru her! I got one HECK of a deal on her at a local show over the weekend. Not many deals were there but this one was under $4 bills new in box. I jumped and added a new firearm to the family! Don't have pics of them but will post when I do. They are both Black. If the .40 s&w is anything like my .45 acp XD I will be in heaven all over again! Just wanted to share! |

It's a great gun. I bought one for my daughters Grandfather for Christmas, we went to the range this past weekend and I have to say that the recoil isnt what I thought it would be. I thought that thing would kick but it's just the same as my XDm 40. Recoil that is |

Congratulations! I picked up an XDm in 9mm about a month or so ago and it is a fantastic pistol. I love the way it shoots and feels, it comes with lots of extra goodies and 19+1 just tops it off!
Have fun shooting and thanks for sharing. I need to post some pics of mine one of these days! |

I have an XDM40 that I bought earlier in the summer. It is one of the best shooting pistols I own. I put some Hogue Handall slipon grips on some of my other pistols but my XDM doesn't need anything - it feels good just the way it came...
I like my Glocks too.... and my Berettas... and my S&W's... and my Desert Eagle... and my Rugers.... |
| I bought my XD40 at the Indy 1500 show last fall. I paid $426 for it. I've run at least 350 rounds through it. I put a Crimson Trace on it right away. My serious load is Speer 180 Gold Dot HPs. The recoil is very mild and it is truly fun to shoot. I've been breaking in a new Glock G30 (45ACP) and I'll take the XD and a Glock 19 to the range and fire all three to let them cool down in order. I have to say that after about 3 trips I look forward to shooting the XD. It's a little big to ankle carry but it's about ready to become my table top defense piece at home at night. I've never had a FTF or FTE. |
