First off, I know this is a SA Operator.  However, I've been looking at places to buy this pistol and haven't had much luck.   I've seen them with varying stock grips and coloring.

Basically, I want one in black/grey (not black/green) with the grips shown below.  What would be the best way to go about getting one?

The grip part is easy, they're just some Pachmeyer wrap-arounds. Easily found for around $20 or so.

Might try Gunbroker for the color combo you're preferring, IMO. I'm assuming you've confirmed that combo IS made by SA?

Good luck!

I'm not sure I've seen Black/Grey combo, and I spent a LOT of time looking at Operators before I bought mine.  IIRC the Original Operators with the full lenth rail may have been black/black or black/parkerized (greyish).

If you want Black/Black, go with the Lightweight Operator, or Lightweight Champion Operator (if you want 4" bbl). Then as Bob said above, add Pachmeyer wrap-arounds...

Or another option, you could always buy the Black/Green combo and have the trigger frame redone in the color of your choice.

SA's website only shows it in black/green, so I would assume that is all that is available. As others have said, it may have been an earlier rendition of the full-size/full-weight Operator. Not that my knowledge extends that far, but all I have ever seen is the black/green version.

I do know someone on some other forums with a black/black operator, but he has had it for awhile now and I believe he bought it used to begin with.

You could always just send it in to SA's custom shop and have them finish it in a different color, or do it yourself.
