 just bought  a   lightly used  xd  45 service    took  it  to  the  range    frist  box   ammo  blazer brass     gun stoved piped  about  every  5  rnds  changed  mags    same  problem    then  tried  remington   ammo    about  the   same    all ammo  was  230 gr    gun  was  cleaned  and  lubed  prior  to   firing .  anyone    have  this  problem   before

+1 on the recoil spring.  Don't get discouraged. The XD45 service is a great handgun.  I can't seem to get mine to malfuntion no matter what I shoot.  It's a mean machine!

I myself just bought a lightly used xd45 and man it runs great and very accurate.Are your sure you have a proper firm grip?Not implying anything just asking.

I have ran about 1000 rounds through my XD45 and had 0 issues.  Normally its diet consist of WWB and Blazer brass 230 grain.

+2 for recoil spring.

Bought mine over a year ago, brand new at the time...I've run hundreds of rounds of WWB and Blazer through it without any issues at all.  In fact, it still looks brand new.  Best pistol I've ever owned.

mine eats whatever i feed it.  the only blemishes are holster wear, it is my daily carry piece.

Yes, be sure it is a FACTORY recoil spring.  Also, try running some Winchester White Box through it.

thx  guys   i  borrowed   a   recoil  spring   from  another  xd 45   and  it  did   solve  the  problem   gonna   call   springfield armory   to  try  to get  another  one    thx  for   the  help    bill
