I've got a 1911 loaded model that has the Novak looking sights. Looking down on the front of the front sight is that a pin or a tiny allan screw? I looked all through my owners manual and even in the break down it doesn't show. Thanks for any help.

On my three SAs, it sure looks like a pin, not a screw, even under magnification but couldn't tell for sure.  Went to Novak website and clicked on installation instructions for the front sight.  It shows that as a 1/16" roll pin that goes through the sight into the slide. Google Novak and go to their site.

Thanks much. Looks like I am going to have to adjust the rear then. Looking at the front it looks to one side more than the other.

It's a little roll pin to prevent the sight from walking out of the dovetail. If you take a look through the front of the slide you should be able to see where it comes out the bottom.

Before you go crazy adjusting the sights, make sure it's the gun that's not hitting POA and not the shooter. When I first got my SA TRP I would hit low and left, I soon realized I couldn't shoot for shit

Thought that also. It shoots to the right no matter if it is offhand or benched.

check the bushing. I had a off center bushing on a SA that caused the barrel to point left, thus it shot way left, replaced the bushing and it shot straight, just a thought.
