| Hey, Can someone please explain the process to send a pistol to Springfield for warranty work. Do I need to take it to an FFL to send it in? What is the average return time? Thanks for any and all info. |
| You will need to call Springfield directly. They might take upto a week to return your call, so be patient. The rep will give you a return ref number. You will need to ship it either UPS or FedEx overnight to them and (unless things have changed from last summer) expect about 2-4 months as a return time. They do good work and it's free, just be ready to not have your weapon for a while. |

call sa they will give you a return athorisation number, you put that number on the outside of the box, and you ship it ups or fed x i went ups, try to keep the shipping cost inder $50 because that is all that sa will refund you up to $50 that is a mistake that i made. once they get it and if you get curious about what is up with it. you can call them and they will give you a status report, sometimes that takes a day, but they will definetly call you back when they find out as a matter of fact 2 different reps called me about the same pistol! it normally takes 10 business days to complete the work i got mine back in a little less than 3 weeks but they squared me away. you ship diorect there is no need for an ffl, just tell the people at ups that it is a firearm that is gong back to the maker and you will be good to go. hope this helps let me know if you need futher guidence. |
