Before you spend a bunch of money on a trigger job, I would recommend shooting at least 1500 rounds thru your Operator (which, of course, you may have done already for all I know) and make sure everything is lubed well. I also think you would be extremely happy with a really good, crisp 4lb pull for a service pistol...which the Operator is...and that if you try a really nice 4ib. trigger you will not want a 2.5 or 3lb pull. (In fact, it is pretty difficult to maintain a 2.5-3lb. trigger even on a target gun, and IMO they have no place on a service or CCW pistol...too finnicky) If you decide you must have such a pull, I would recommend you send it back to the Springfield Custom Shop for the work, which will, of course, be warranted. |
