Actually, I think the pistol looks great.  I just bought a Springfiled Loaded on Sunday.  I can't pick it up till next week though because of the waiting period.

Have you had a chance to shoot it yet?

Yes I have.  I put 24 rounds of Win 230 fmj and 8 rounds of Rem Hydra shock 230 gr jhp, just to get a feel for the trigger, sight allignment and potential for jams.

I was really pleased and happy.  Shot 1" low. No jams and the trigger pull was great compaired to an old Glock 23 that I was brainwashed into buying at the time.

Let me know when you get yours.  I'd like a range report and some pics.

I’m looking for my first 1911.  I was looking at the Milspec; price (~$450) seems about right for what I can spend.  If I may ask, what does a Loaded typically retail for?  How does the Loaded compare to the Milspec (i.e. features, etc)?

Nice looking guns.

My loaded cost $678.00.  All the extra features can best be seen and explained at their web site.

I can't believe that I'll be picking this up Tuesday.

Two AR's now two SA's.  I'm hopeless.

GREEN AI, GREEN SA, and GREEN Steiner binocs. Hey RAMBOSKY, you sure do know how to accessorize. GREEN is traditionally a FALL color but I think you can get away with it for SPRING and SUMMER. LOL

Last week I went off on an OD green tangent.  I got some camo paint from Walmart and this is the results:

I got mine for $699.  This one includes factory installed night sights.  I finally got to go shoot it and it is a dream.  Very accurate and did not have one malfunction.

If you have the money, I weould recommend the Loaded over the Milspec.  You'll just be spending more money later on trying to make a Loaded out of your gun.

I thought about buying one just like that at my gunstore.  But then my Wilson CQB wouldn't be happy  But it is a nice 1911.. If I was to buy another one for a bit cheaper than a Wilson it would most likely be that exact same SA or maybe a STI.

Nice Gun

Thanks Vermilion,

Wilson is also a nice gun.

For what I paid for both Springfields I could of had one Wilson.

Hey Rambo, I bought a Custom Loaded OD Green full size about a month ago.  I absolutely LOVE the finish!  I'll be putting Tritium night sites on it soon, (maybe).  I'll have to take a picture like you did and post it.  It will be my SA and my Colt Series 70 Nickel finish next to each other.  I paid 350 dollars for my Series 70, eighteen years ago.  Paid 634 dollars for the SA a month ago.  Bushy AR-15 is next on my to do list!  :-)

Frankie,

Cool!!  Springfield will put the Novak night sights on for $75.00 but I hate to send it out for a number of weeks.  I'd miss it too much.

I had a Colt MKIV, series 70 in 1978.  I traded it for "God knows what" a few years later.  Kicking myself in the butt ever since.

Please post those pictures.  Don't forget that to be a complete "warrior" you do need that AR.

Rambo, I hear ya.  As for the Bushy, is the A3 the one that can be removed for optics?  Or is it the A2?  I'm thinking about getting the SuperLight Weight 16" Barrel with fixed Telestock.
