I've got an XD9 Service, and have a bit of a problem... I disassembled it to spray it with norrells, and now I'm having a problem with the reassembly. I cannot get the mag release back in... That spring keeps popping out, and my toes, I mean fingers, are not working right. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the mag release back in, the spring in the right spot, and the pin through it all? I'd be forever in your debt... |

Forget it, I finally figured it out... For those in the same position, here's the trick: Without the mag release button inserted into the frame, push the pin into the frame capturing the mag release lever halfway. With needle nose pliers, insert the spring between the frame and the lever, also capturing it on the pin. With half of the lever captured on the pin, push the mag release button through the assembly. Finish pushing the pin and you're done. |
