i just picked up my xd9 today and i have a ? about disassembling the slide
when i allow the slide to move forward to allow the spring tension to be released then pull the trigger to allow the slide to move all the way off, it takes alot of force to get it completely off!, is that normal?
it sounds as though something is still catching the slide
 thanks

no, is just seems to catch a little once i squeeze the trigger and move it completely forward.
should i squeeze the trigger before i move the slide  forward at all, or once it the tension is let off?
thanks again

after squeezing the trigger i still had it partialed squeezed no wonder i had to force it off a couple of times
good to go now     cant wait to shoot it!!!!

After squeezing the trigger, let go of it, as you move the slide forward.

EDITED TO SAY:  I see you found the correction.  I went through the same thing!!  Boy did I feel stupid after finding what I was doing wrong!!!  DUH!!!

Enjoy shooting it.  I did mine.

Yup. The HS2000 had that defect as well. Why don't they put a warning label on it!

Don't forget to ask Springfield for the official Let Go Of The Trigger Dummy t-shirt. We all gottem.
