Hiya everybody. I've got a Springfield "Black Stainless" PX9152L that is in the middle of some upgrades. One thing I'm thinking about changing out are the adjustable sights. I see that Heinie makes a set of their Slant Pro sights to fit the Kimber adjustable sight, but nothing specifically for SA. I emailed Sara Davis at Heinie, who said the sights are made specifically for the Kimber cut. I guess that means I'm SOL. Can anyone tell me the dimensions used for this particular 1911? If anything, I'd like to replace at least the front sight. Filing it down isn't a good option with the tritium so close to the top. FYI, the PX9152L has a dovetailed and roll pinned front sight. I had not seen that on a factory 1911 before. |
