Looking to reduce the travel in my XDm.  I'm liking the PRP drop-in kit(based solely on visual aid via youtube videos); I'd likely go for the drop-in kit.  Just curious on your thoughts/opinions hopefully based on some actual hands-on time with each manufacturer's product.  Thanks

The PRP drop in kit is pretty easy and simple to install. I have used it and the Ultimate kits and the fitting of the Ultimate is not much more work with a small file and some emery cloth that I'd say its worth going that way if you want a better trigger with shorter travel. It just takes a few more minutes or making it fit right.

I have PRP Ultimate Match.  This is the best change you can do to your factory Springfield.  Mine is awesome!

The Ultimate Match triggers from PRP really get as low as 2.5. #s? That may be a bit lighter than I'm after.

Mine is right at 3.5# and is smooth as silk.

I thoroughly enjoyed the one I had. Bought a week or two before the extreme or the skeletonized kit came out. It worked very well in my 5.25"

I put the Powder River "drop in" kit in my XDM. My daughter loved it so much I couldn't get it away from her. Now she has it and I ordered two more kits for the other XDM's. My personal preference is the drop in trigger because I was afraid anything lighter would be dangerous in a stressful situation. To me, this trigger is about as light as I would want for defensive purposes. For target shooting I would like to try the lighter ones but am completely satisfied with the drop in.

I put another Powder River kit in a full size 9mm today. It was the drop in set.  Again it was very nice and smooth. I shot a new compact XDM during todays outing for comparison. The factory trigger on the compact was pretty nice compared to the others I have so I decided to delay the install and shoot it some more. I like to carry the compact and am not sure I want that light of trigger. I did not use the blue spring set that comes with the kit which are the lighter ones.

In contrast, My good friend brought his M&P's over. I liked his guns but even the factory trigger on the XDM's seemed a little better to me than the M&P.

BTW, Powder River has a nice discount going for their springs right now.

PRP is great! I put a drop in kit in my xd9 4", put the competition trigger spring in and the lightened striker spring. It shoots great, reset is short, no overtravel. My girlfriend liked mine so much that we put one in her xd9 subcompact. She's much more accurate now and not snapping the trigger like she was before. If PRP makes kits for any guns I buy in the future I'm buying one. I've shot springer's and they just aren't that impressive compared to the PRP, including the parts. Better customer service with PRP as well. I don't see springer with instructional install videos out there...
