Ok MC Operator Owners and TRP Owners, I just sold My TRP which I really liked but wanted a Operator for the Rail but don't like the TRP Operator because of the Adjustable Rear Sight. I was going to wait for the New Loaded Operator But had a deal come up for a as new in box MC Operator for a 1000.00 I was looking at 1,200.00 for a New One, My MC is a mid 2014 date of MFG.

While Handling  My New MC Operator I noticed that the Hammer has a True Half Cock Notch, My TRP had a Fantastic Trigger on it but it did not have the Half Cock Notch for the Hammer. It has been about 15 Years since I last Owned a COLT Series 70 and I can't Remember if They had a Half Cock Notch or not? I know My Kimber Custom 2 and Smith and Wesson 1911 and My COLT Series 80's Guns did not have a Half Cock for the Hammer. And I have a couple of Year Old Springfield Armory Milspec and it does not have a Half Cock Notch.

So here is My Question is the Half Cock Notch something the Marine Corp Specified or is this Something that Springfield is now adding to Thier Current MFG 1911's? Is it Specific to the MC Operator?

Thank's

I was under the impression these weren't even shipping yet.  Interesting.
