I love my XDm 4.5 9mm. I am in the market to buy another pistol, and I would like to get another one. Im having trouble deciding which one to get. I dont own a 45 yet, and I have no interest in 40. I also dont own a compact yet. In fact the only pistols I have are the XDm 4.5 9mm and a SR22.

I want to get another polymer gun before I start on a 1911 obsession.

My XDm i have now is OD green with a black slide. Should I get a matching pair and go with an all black one?

Just trying to decide which to get.....

So you have a full size and a plinker.

What you need (in that order):

Concealed carry gun:
XDs

Not so concealed carry gun
XDM 3.8 compact (either 9mm or .45)

Competition gun
XDM 5.25 Competition

Just my 5 cents...

I have considered a XDs as a concealed carry, but is it a pocket pistol or will I need a waistband holster?

Also I was waiting on the 9mm version.

Maybe a pocket pistol if you wear cargo pants. Its pretty narrow so I'd think a decent OWB holster would work but I'm
going with an IWB.

Depends on what is highest on your priority list. Want a compact? Want a 45?  I've avoided picking up a new caliber as it'll let me concentrate on building my ammo up.

With that said I have the XDm 3.8 9mm compact; it has over 2k flawless rounds and is by far my favorite shooter.

Choose a 45 in any flavor of XD, XDm, XDs. I prefer my XD45 over my XDm9 hands down. The 45 is such a great round to shoot.

I had a .40 xdm 3.8 compact, it was awesome. Not once did it fail to feed or jam, but it only had 900 rounds through it. I only used it for a plinker / house gun. Very inaccurate though but it was expected with a short barrel.

In my opinion its too bulky (too wide) for comfortable concealed carry use.

i have a full size xdm in 9mm and just bought a a XDm sub compact as well,I love the sub,it takes the 19 round mags and with the grip spacer that slips on the 19 round mag it has the grip of the full size
