I'm picking up my 1st handgun tommorow. Getting the XD9302HC Bi-Tone http://www.springfield-armory.com/images/xd-pistol/XD9302Large.jpg $450 NIB w/ 2 Hicap Mags,cleaning kit, & Springfield Box/paperwork.... What do you all think....?? |
| Wife has an XD40, very reliable pistol. I paid $409 OTD if I remember correctly. Came with 2 mags, box, etc. Have about 1K rounds through it with no malfs not directly attributable to an oversized reload that wouldnt fit in the chamber. Decent accuracy, not stellar by any means but very acceptable. Overall the only thing I dont like is a lack of proper leather for them. Hopefully that will change. |

I just picked up a similar XD40 5" (I'm a sucker for green) 2 days ago; paid $430 OTD NIB w/ 2 highcap mags and a case. http://uweb.txstate.edu/%7Eem1077/xd40.jpg I've put about 200 rounds through it so far, pretty accurate from what I can gather, but I'm still learning correct shooting form. Compared to my Glock 17, the XD feels much better in my hands |

Go with the .40 because you can always buy a 9mm or .357 sig barrel for it. I have a 4" XD9 and love it. Put 1k rounds through it and I've only had it 2 weeks, only fail to feeds I had were from a .40 mag that I didn't adjust the feed lips on yet. Check out www.pistol-gear.com for XD accessories, they had a nice selection of holsters last time I checked. |
+1 I bought my 9mm at the 1500 a couple weeks ago paid $425 NIB for the 'extreme gear' package (holster is a bit awkward btw...sticks a little far off the body) but it came with 3 hi-caps. |

I bought the XD bi-tone in 9mm. Great gun. I can't say enough good things about it. The grip angle made a lot of difference for me since I was pondering the Glock option. 1911 grip angle, more safety features, and a good strong reliable gun with accuracy, can't say that I need much more out of my XD. I went with 9mm because that was a caliber I had and was familiar with. I knew you could buy a 9mm barrel for the XD40 but I didn't want to be bothered with buying another barrel. Maybe down the road I will buy a XD40 so my XD9 can have a friend. Right now I'm happy with my XD, she has a few thousand rounds down her barrel without one hiccup. |
