I got a new Springfield Aromory Champion.  I like it very much.  I can shoot very nice groups with it.  I can hold a poker chip sized group at 50'.  I'm impressed with it so far.  There is only one problem with it.  It may not have the correct rear (Novak night sight) sight on it.  The poi is very high to the poa (almost a foot @ 25 yds).  The manual said that the SA 1911 has a 6 o'clock aim instead of the poa that I prefer, but not this high.  I called SA and they are sending me another rear sight.  There hope is that the one they are sending me is a shorter rear sight, and that should correct the up and down issue.  If not I'll be with out for a while.  I hope it works.  Has anyone else had a SA 1911 shoot high?

Here it is.

Cool as hell, don't ya think.  Now if I can get the damn thing to shot to poa I'll be happy.  Does anyone have any ideas if the rear sight that SA is sending me doesn't work?

Nice pistol.   I think I know one of its brothers/sisters?  Can't help you with the sights.  Mine shoots to point of aim, when my grip is right.

Thanks, I like it alot, too.

Springfield did it when it went back to correct the dust cover rub.  I chose to have them do the machine 25lpi.  I like it better than the 30lpi on my uncle's Les Baer.  It isn't too coarse, as many have said about 20lpi.

+1, My next handgun purchase will be a loaded springfield champion, 25lpi front strap and a bobtail mainspring housing.  I already e-mailed their custom shop and my FFL can order it in that configuration.
