I have an XDm 5.25 in 9mm. I know we're not supposed to shoot lead bullets thru a Glock but does that apply to the XDm?

Thanks

Does not apply. Glocks have polygonal rifling, which can lead to dangerous amounts of lead buildup. XD's and XDm's have grooved rifling. Make an effort to clean it regularly if shooting lead, but there's no harm in it.

I have a .45 XD that I have shot over 3500 rounds of moly coated lead through and I have not had any problems.

Ive shot moly coated lead in my XD as well.  it SUCKS to clean out.  I'll spend the extra on copper plated.

My first 2000 remans we lead, no issues at all so far.
Just make sure you clean the barrel pretty well before going back to FMJ.

I shoot cheap lead bullets out of my XDM at our clubs indoor range all the time. Shot 200 rounds the other night. Give it a good clean when ya get home and you will have no issues with it.

I have about 10,000 rounds of cast lead loads through my XDm 5.25 9mm and over 5,000 through my 5.25 45 ACP.  No problem, just have to clean them every 5-600 rounds.
