I decided that I was going to purchase another Springfield and had my mind made up to buy the Range Officer. The LGS said they would have one in today and would also have a Loaded PX9109LP. I thought... sweet! This was easy
No wait or nothing! I go in their today; full intentions to buy the RO and then...

A little back story; I already own an older model Loaded PX9608. No NS and the front sight is staked on. Made in Brazil. Great gun! Bought it back in 2000 before the ILS. Last year I sent it back to Springfield to have it armory koted (I didn't care too much for the blued finish). Told them that it shot low too and had a slight rub on the dustcover from the frame. Got it back and it looked great. Fixed the rub and got a new barrel and bushing (stainless). I'm very happy with this gun.

the owner gets out both guns and I kind of glance at the Loaded and notice NM****** serial #'s OK... Looking at the two side by side and knowing the differences I ask - What's the price difference? He said ohh $30 more on the Loaded. I had thought that if I buy the RO I might as some point change out the sights to some Harrison Design fixed NS and Dawson front NS which would add another $150ish to the cost. The Loaded has NS already... The RO has a match grade barrel (can I shoot that good to be able to tell the difference?) I really don't need the ambi-safety and the full-length guide rod would get replaced to a plug and spring guide. Does front cocking serrations mean anything?
I came down to decision time...I think the owner was getting a little impatient.... I chose ..... the LOADED...

 Did I choose right????
