I have a springfield Armory Micro Compact .45ACP and the grips that were on the used gun when we bought it had a hogue type of grip..kinda spongy. Well after sitting for some time the ruuber type grip are apperaing the be breaking down and getting sticky.

What kind of grips are out there that will fit these models?

I like the wood and synthetic stlyes.

Because of the lousy sights, I bought the CT Laser Grips; however, SA sells grips if you want the original style.  IIRC I bought logo grips for a Loaded 1911 at $33 plus shipping.

Nice.. I ended up pulling the grips off , the stickyness was everywhere. They were Pierce Grips and had the info Officers Model types molded into the backside of the grips. So I assume I can look for Officers Model grips that I like to go on this one?

I use Springfield factory wooden grips on mine. They came with it, and are available from SA.

Bob..those are nice...  give me more info on them.

I have checked Brownells and Midway...seems allot of the Officers grip selection from many manufacturers are either No Longer in Production, Special Order of 60-90+ days or Discontimued by either Brownells or Midway.

Oh, yeah, they are supurb grips. I ended up putting them on mutliple handguns such as my 92FS & 1911 Govt. They remind me of the ones on the TRP model.

I got mine from Mil-tach (sp?) Grips. You might have to play around a bit with the spelling as I no longer have their web site bookmarked. But I met them at the NRA Convention & they're super nice folks with darn good CS, IMO. They have some slight variations in colors as well.

Hope this helps!
