I bought my first 1911 its a springfield v12. I have shot only 50 rounds through it, and it shoots sweet. My question is, I want to practice my trigger pull. Is it ok to dry fire this gun, several hundred times a day? Thanks in advance for your answers. |

Thanks for the reply. The reason I asked this question, is because I started dry firing all my favorite handguns, and noticed that I was twitching the front site. I seemed to pull it off to the right with every pull. Dry firing seeems like a great way to gain trigger control |

Or a piece of pencil eraser in the primer cup. A spent pistol brass casing should fit - they don't go thru as much deformation as a rifle round does. But if not, find somone who reloads and see if he has a virgin case or a resized case you can use for a homemade snap cap. |
