A .357 wheelgun with a nonfluted cylinder. Does anyone make one? Thanks for any help.

aka the "Bloodwork gun". Their are a couple guys on the S&W forum who've gotten some of the latest releases, they seem pretty pleased with them.  IIRC, they have a street price in the mid $900's. Not easy to find though.

If they are anything like my new 629, they are well worth it!

Smith and Wesson made the 686 with a non-fluted cylinder for a year or two back in the 80's....I think they called it a 'classic hunter' or something like that.

Found with Google search: Also in 1988, S&W made 5000 L-frame 686s in the Classic Hunter guise –– 6" full-lugged barrel, unfluted cylinder, "semi-target" hammer, smooth trigger, Hogue monogrip on a square-butt grip-frame, with the stamped barrel reading ".357 Magnum".

If you have deep pockets, check out Freedom Arms.

You can also get a 686, and then have an unflutted cylinder installed... might be a little easier.

S&W Model 1989 is another example.

Just curious, why do you care if the cylinder is fluted or not?  Aesthetics?
