I have an unfired Model 27-2. It is blue with 3.5" barrel, original box, literature, cleaning rod and hang tag. It was purchased in 1971 and looks like new. I was wondering what it may be worth. Any Smith experts? Thanks.

$800+, most likely. A few months ago I would have bet on a grand, but I think prices may have gone down a bit. Ask over on the S&W forum(NOT the one here on ar15.com).

I 'll give $800 for a LNIB 27-2 3 1/2" any time. If it's pristine, $950 on a good day.

If it's really pristine and like new with just a very light turn line or no line at all and the box is numbered to the gun you can probably get $1000

If it's truly like new, with box and dox, you could very easily hit a grand.
