I've been kinda wanting a perf center L-Comp, but haven't seen one in ages locally.  Today I found a 66-6 perf center F-Comp in mint condition ... the catch is the seller doesn't have the original perf center case.  He was asking $775 which seems like a fair price, I'm just not sure how much being without the case drops the value ... and if I can buy the case to go with it later?

Gorgeous gun btw, it was really calling my name

The price sounds about right, but it's been a few months since I really kept up with prices. You might be able to find an original box/case, but more than likely, you won't.

If you're talking about the aluminum PC case, they have stacks of them for sale at the S&W Factory Store in Springfield, MA.  I just saw them there last week when I took at class at the Academy.  They were cheap, too.  Around $30 if I remember correctly.

I can't help you with the price.  I got my 66-6 F-Comp in a trade with another batch of guns.  It sounds about right, though.

Thanks for the info ... S&W doesn't list the PC cases on their online store, but I'll give them a call tomorrow.  I'd really love to have a pre-lock F-Comp, but haven't seen one of those for sale in ages.

Would the original case not have a sticker with feature codes, as well as serial number and other information on it? I ask because I'm not familiar with the PC guns.

I can't be 100% sure if my case is the original one or not, but mine doesn't have a sticker on it, at least that I remember.  I'll have to look tomorrow.
