I've really noticed NO difference in the moon clips from various sellers.  I use standard "stamped spring steel" moon clips available just about anywhere.  The best remooner I have used is the one from california competition works.  LINK HERE. It's easy, but bulky.  My favorite "de mooner" is a home built deal out of a piece of copper tubing.  I just cut a vertical cut about 1/4 of an inch down about 2/3 the diameter of the tube, then cut off one end.  I use it to twist the brass off the moon clip, and the brass just slides into a coffee can at my feet, and off to the tumbler it goes.

I load about 100 moon clips at a time, then de-moon them after my shoot.

(EDIT) The above relates to my 625 that I use for USPSA/IPSC events. If you're mooning an 8 shot 357, then the unique moon clip tool is the way to go.  They also have one that loads 625's.  It's nice in that it's flat and can fit in your shooting bag without any hassle.

This. I used some 1/2" pvc water line scrap, and some guys have said they use golf club shafts for a "deluxe" model. Cheap, and it works as good as or better than what is sold.

I use the Moon Clip Stripper that Brownell's sells. You can easily make your own.
