When I was looking at a new 45LC single action, I had it down to Uberti, Ruger or a gaucho....The gaucho was very well priced, I had concerns about the reputation of taurus, but for the money why not? I went with a new model blackhawk with 45ACP/LC cylinders.

It is not a true SAA as it uses a frame mounted firing pin.

I might consider one for a plinker or a "truck gun" if it was $250 or less ––-  Because i would have to factor in $50 - $100 i may have to spend on it to fix its issues as they crop up. (or if they cropped up?)     CDNN had these new for very low coin supposedly  (in the 250 range )  ––––––   It was one of those guns that some people have very good luck with, while just as many have chronic issues with timing, cylinder gap and other things.    Discontinued after only 3 or 4 years

But that said ––- i might buy one for the right price with that info in the back of my mind ––- but not if it was my first SA.
