| Just sold my Ruger SP101 .357 (way too heavy) for my ankle, need a new ccw. Was thinking the LCR would be the way to go. Would you recommend it or not? Do you think it would fit in my Galco ankle glove that was made for the sp101 even with the "hump" on the back of the LCR?? |

I love my LCR! It would make a great ankle gun, if I weren't 53 years old. I realize that the chances of me getting to an ankle gun are worse than my chances of surviving a shoot out in the first place!
I do use my LCR as a pocket gun. I have a Galco paddle holster around here some where, made originally for an SP101. My LCR fits into it pretty well. I suspect yours might too, though you can never tell.j I liked my SP101, but it took too much practice to remain competent with the .357 loadings. With .38 Spl, it seemed kind of overweight. I need to investigate holster options for my LCR. |

I drive a little ford focus through the ghetto to work and my 1911 on my hip is behind my seat belt...ankle holster is right there in reach while in the car. Hear the triggers on the LCR's are good too, are they in your guys opinion? I think the LCR has a great trigger, It's very smooth! |
| I don't know a thing about this Revolver but it appears as if there may be an issue with the trigger failing. Some folks who actually shoot quite a bit are reporting a post (dowel) on the trigger which actuates the transfer bar is breaking off leaving the gun inoperable. This maybe something worth looking into. |

I'm thinking about one of these as well. I have a 3" SP-101 and though I have no plans to sell it, I want to get my CCW and I have too small of a frame to conceal it in summer clothes. I've decided to keep my 101 and get a S&W 442 for pocket carry. Sampled two LCR's at the gunstore and rented and test fired a third. While the trigger pull on the LCR was not bad, it was nothing great either, IMHO. Perhaps I was expecting too much after hearing folks rave about it, I don't know, but I was disappointed. Being a Ruger fan, I really wanted to like it, but the overly large trigger guard made it uncomfortable for me to shoot. If you have any places near you that allow you to rent firearms, I'd recommend going and shooting the revolvers on your short list before buying. |

I handled a LCR this last weekend and I really wanted to like it but just could not get impressed, I have been a ruger fan for years, but it seems like their newest offerings are leaveing me jaded. I am looking at the S&W 637 pretty hard lately. |

I am convinced that the double action pull on the last one I picked up was way north of 12 pounds. |
